Join my client's dynamic team as a Junior Product Developer, where you will play a crucial role in the development and merchandising of fashion products. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in fashion, whether experienced or recent graduates ready to be trained.
Day-to-day of the role:- Allocate tech packs to factories for sampling and clarify any queries in conjunction with the Design team.
- Follow up and chase samples to meet deadlines for selection meetings.
- Manage and update sample files and rails categorised by supplier.
- Oversee the sampling critical path for each supplier, ensuring timely progress.
- Create new style specs and grade across various sizes for different territories.
- Approve fit samples and provide feedback on Protos, PPS, and PS to suppliers.
- Update the critical path with new purchase orders confirmed.
- Monitor and manage the critical path to ensure critical dates are met for production to achieve delivery dates.
- Conduct weekly critical path meetings with suppliers to discuss any issues.
- Coordinate with Operations on packaging and shipping requirements.
- Open to experienced candidates or recent graduates in fashion design or fashion buying.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not essential
