Job Title: Legal Accounts AssistantSalary: Up to £30,000Location: BirminghamOffice Hours: Full-time, 5 days a week, on-siteRole Description:We’re thrilled to be supporting a prestigious law firm in Birmingham, looking for a Legal Accounts Assistant to join their close-knit team. This is a full-time, on-site role where you’ll take on key responsibilities in managing the finance function, including credit control, petty cash management, and supporting accounting tasks.Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing credit control and ensuring smooth cash flow processes.
  • Managing petty cash and performing daily banking reconciliations.
  • Raising invoices and producing financial reconciliations.
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with various ad-hoc tasks.
  • Communicating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience in credit control and accounting functions.
  • Strong understanding of petty cash management and general finance tasks.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Finance (AAT, ACCA, or similar).
  • Experience in the legal sector is an advantage but not essential.
While a background in law is helpful, it’s not a requirement. We’re open to candidates with solid accounting or finance experience or those from an administrative background with a strong interest in finance.This role is based in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, where every day offers something different. As part of a supportive team, you’ll be encouraged to collaborate and take on a variety of tasks.
