Client Details

The client is a reputable and established Law Firm based in Birmingham City Centre looking for a Legal Secretary with administration skills and strong experience in dictation typing.

Description

Key Responsibilities:* Provide full secretarial support to fee earners, including diary management, document preparation, and client liaison.* Dictation typing and preparing correspondence, documents, and forms.* Assist in the administration of wills, probate, and trusts, ensuring compliance with legal processes.* Manage correspondence, filing, and maintaining client records.* Handle telephone and email inquiries from clients and external parties.

Profile

Requirements:* Proven 1-2 years' experience as a Legal Secretary or Secretary with dictation typing experience* Excellent typing skills, able to quickly and accurately process legal documents, including correspondence and bills, from manuscript or digital dictation, with minimal supervision.* Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize a busy workload.* Experience of Tikit (or similar case management system) and BigHand dictation would be advantageous but not essential.* Good telephone manner; able to take messages from new and existing clients on the telephone with accuracy and pass on in a timely manner.* Excellent IT skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly.* Displays a can-do, positive attitude to work, and a high degree of self-management.* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional telephone manner.* A keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.* Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
