Our client is a highly-ranked UK law firm with a strong and growing team dealing with major residential developments across the country. Working alongside the largest housebuilding firms in the UK they are leading the sector. The team covers the complete service from acquisition to disposal, acting for national and regional housebuilders, promoters and landowners, dealing with large scale development matters.
This role is full time and hybrid working.Applications will also be considered from those wishing to work a 4-day week, or to work compressed hours over 4 days.
Main duties:
- Organise travel including booking transport and hotels
- Diary management for fee earners
- Typing and dictation
- Book meeting/conference rooms, organise refreshments and liaise with attendees
- Assist with the billing and credit control process
- Client onboarding, conducting AML checks
- Be directly involved in the care of our clients, building relationships and responding promptly to queries.
- Drafting communications and editing documents
- Manage incoming and outgoing post, couriers and emails
- Dealing with photocopying, printing, sending letters, organising couriers and data entry
- Accurately updating CMS with progress on files.
Who we are looking for:
You should be confident liaising with multiple stakeholders and clients, organising and managing diaries and taking the lead to provide an exceptional secretarial support service.
We are specifically looking for the following attributes:
- Previous legal secretarial experience within a property team is essential
- Top level typing and drafting skills, producing documents efficiently and with ease
- Skilled in prioritising and multitasking effectively, using time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High levels of accuracy.
- Confident in use of IT applications - Case management systems, MS Word, typing skills, formatting and editing documents.
- Self motivated, using your initiative and having the ability to learn
- Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines and ability to remain calm.
- Demonstrating high levels of discretion and the able to maintain confidentiality of information.
