Job Title: Private Client Legal SecretaryLocation: ShirleySalary: £26,000About the Role:We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Private Client Legal Secretary to join our client’s reputable firm based in South Birmingham.You will play a vital role in managing diaries, maintaining accurate client files, and supporting fee earners in their day-to-day activities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Organising appointments, meetings, and conference calls for fee earners.
  • Opening and closing files, maintaining accurate filing systems, and managing inboxes.
  • Communicating professionally with clients, taking messages, handling queries, and ensuring smooth correspondence.
  • Typing legal documents and correspondence to a high standard, including audio and copy typing.
  • Managing and coordinating fee earners’ billing and financial requirements.
  • Preparing client engagement letters, conducting conflict checks, and handling HMRC forms.
  • Scanning, copying, and maintaining Wills and other important documentation.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years as a Legal Secretary/PA within a private client team is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), case management software, and legal finance systems.
  • Strong diary management, prioritisation, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
