Join Our Client's Dynamic Team as a Post Completions Assistant!

Are you an experienced professional in residential conveyancing with a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence? Our client is looking for a dedicated Post Completions Assistant to join their team and ensure the seamless finalization of property transactions.

About the Role:

As a Post Completions Assistant, you will be responsible for managing all tasks following the completion of property sales or purchases. You will work autonomously, stepping in only when circumstances deviate from the standard process. This role supports the residential conveyancing teams across all offices, ensuring that every detail is handled with precision and efficiency.

Location: Solihull

Salary: £26,000 - £27,000

Work type: Monday to Friday, Permanent 

Hybrid working: After a successful probation 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership & Accuracy: Take charge of all post-completion tasks, ensuring they are completed accurately and promptly.
  • Workload Management: Balance tasks across different offices and fee earners, prioritizing effectively.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all firm policies and procedures.
  • Support Function: Ensure the smooth operation of the department's support functions.

Key Tasks:

  • Complete Land Transaction Returns and arrange Stamp Duty Land Tax payments to HMRC.
  • Send notices to landlords for leasehold properties.
  • Register new owners with the Land Registry, including First Registrations.
  • Send completion of registration copies to clients and lenders.
  • Handle all admin related to indemnity policies.
  • Manage balances on account in line with firm policies.
  • Close and archive files once all post-completion matters are resolved.
  • Provide support to other staff, especially during holidays.
  • Accurately hand over work to Conveyancing Assistants before your own holidays.
  • Perform copying, faxing, and scanning as needed.
