My client are looking to recruit a Caseworker to work within the Court of Protection Team supporting individuals who lack the capacity to manage their own financial affairs. Managing our own portfolio of clients you will work alongside a supportive team and wider secretarial team all dedicated to providing support to vulnerable individuals.

This role is perfect for someone who is compassionate, organised, and has a strong sense of responsibility, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on people's lives. This is an ideal role if you are looking for an opportunity to support individuals who are unable to manage their financial affairs, helping them live with dignity and independence.

This varied and busy role will be office-based hybrid with some onsite visits. The role will entail:

  • Setting and maintaining personal and household budgets for clients.
  • Handling client payments and balancing accounts.
  • Coordinating contractors, therapists, care staff, and other third-party professionals.
  • Responding to emergency situations quickly, empathetically, and efficiently, always with the client’s best interests in mind.
  • Providing clear financial reports and offering recommendations to appointed deputies regarding budgets, financial requests, and changes in circumstances.

This role requires hands-on experience rather than formal qualifications. This role would be ideal for individuals who have volunteered or worked as a charity or church treasurer, local housing officer, bank cashier, or in similar positions.

Proficiency in Excel for budgeting, forecasting, and financial management and life coordination skills, with practical knowledge of managing household budgets are key skills for this role.
