As a recruitment partner for one of the UK's top 500 law firms, I am thrilled to announce an opening for a Legal PA on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide exceptional PA and administrative support to our esteemed Law Partners and Solicitors across the Birmingham office. 

Location: Birmingham city centreSalary: £29,000 - £32,000 Job type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Monday to Friday (Full time, 37.5 hours per week)Hybrid working – 50/50 split 

Day-to-day of the role:•    Process correspondence with clients, third parties, and the Court.•    Manage and maintain client files efficiently.•    Draft and respond to communications on behalf of Law Partners and Solicitors, prioritising tasks and managing e-filing systems.•    Handle client enquiries and provide timely responses.•    Answer calls, take messages, and manage communication flow.•    Arrange meetings, manage diaries, and ensure all engagements are well-coordinated.•    Prepare court bundles in both electronic and hard copy formats.•    Liaise with counsel’s and Judge’s clerks for filing court documents on the court’s e-filing system.•    Set up new clients, initiate new matters, and run conflict checks.•    Coordinate billing processes with partners and handle the raising of invoices for legal services.•    Manage disbursements, internal expenses, and address complex billing enquiries.•    Conduct public searches on the court system and monitor IP cause list, updating law fee earners accordingly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:•    Proven experience in a Legal PA role.•    Highly diligent with an exceptional level of attention to detail.•    Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing personal workload and organising others.•    Ability to work independently, manage upwards, and build strong working relationships with fee-earners.•    Proactive in resolving issues and capable of multitasking and prioritising workload effectively.•    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
