It operates as an independent learning space and a key resource in supporting inclusion of all students. It also offers meeting space and provides a safe haven for quiet study. Following the promotion of the LRC manager, we are looking for a qualified and experienced specialist with a commitment and the aptitude to develop the LRC's out of hours delivery as well as lead on school literacy co-ordination and strategy.The RoleYou will:* Be educated to degree level (Librarianship) and ideally a member of CILIP* Have experience of library management and supporting young people with literacy* Have a wide knowledge of and love for literature and learning* Have excellent planning and organising and budget management skills* Able to manage effective working relationships with students and staff at all levels* Be a resourceful, creative and passionate advocate for improving literacy within the school and the promoting reading within the communityWhy you should join usYou will get a real opportunity to make a difference within a school which encourages students and staff to be aspirational.
