This department has had a recent expansion leading to exponential success in terms of staff satisfaction and test scores which they are looking to continue.
This school is looking for an individual who has graduated from university and looking to secure a fantastic role as a Maths Academic mentor. Following a full academic year, this job offers the chance for the candidate to enrol on a Salaried Teacher Training Course commencing September 2025. The school senior leadership team is looking to progress their own Maths Academic mentors onto the next steps.
Maths Academic Mentor - Job description
- Maths Academic mentor (Across KS3- KS5)
- Lead small intervention groups and 1:1 sessions (including GCSE and A Level)
- Assist within the classroom with general TA duties.
- Support pupils with SEN in the classroom
- Located in Erdington
- ASAP start - Full academic year
- Full-time, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
- 105 - 110 per day
Maths Academic Mentor - Person Specification
- 1st class or 2:1 graduate in Maths/Kindred Degree
- Good A Levels & GCSEs
- Confident in their Maths knowledge
- Ability in a specialist subject to lead and support pupil's progress
- Strong communication skills to aid class teachers with the progress of pupils.
- Work as part of a wider Maths department team
