Description
- Overseeing daily operations in the logistics department.
- Developing and implementing strategic plans for operational efficiency.
- Ensuring best practice and operational standards are implemented and furthered.
- Managing team performance and fostering a positive work culture.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborating with other departments to align with business objectives.
- Preparing and managing the department's budget.
- Reporting on operational performance to senior management.
Profile
A successful Head of Logistics Operations should have:
- Experience leading a national operation and developing managers
- Proven experience in a managerial role within high volume logistics environments
- Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team and develop all seniority's within their team.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to manage varied workloads
- Experience with high volumes of driver populations is very advantageous
