To support their continued growth plans and to ensure the delivery of commercial excellence, they are currently recruiting a brand-new role for a Head of Procurement to join the team.
Your new role
The Head of Procurement will be responsible for development and implementation of the commercial procurement strategy, as well, remaining hands-on in delivering procurement operational activities. The role will be accountable for the relationships with six key vendors who provide multi-million pound services to the organisation. A key focus will be to develop collaborative relationships, drive supplier value maximisation and cost efficiency, and be the key point of contact and escalation for supplier-related issues. The post holder will facilitate weekly, monthly and quarterly supplier performance reviews, seeking opportunities for cost savings and to drive continuous improvement. Additionally, the Head of Procurement will also lead a small team and will manage indirect procurement for the business.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be a Head of Procurement or Procurement Manager with proven success in managing multi-million pound IT, Technology and Telecoms contracts. You will be able to demonstrate significant cost savings and supplier relationship development within complex contracts. You will be highly commercial, have superb negotiation skills and be able to build effective relationships. Previous experience of supporting large scale growth plans within an SME-sized organisation is highly desirable.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of £60,000 to £80,000 (DOE) plus a performance-related bonus scheme and private medical insurance. The role will work on a hybrid basis with the flexibility of working from home up to two days per week.
