People Group are looking to recruit a Infrastructure Delivery Lead from a Client Side background to work for a Train Operating Company.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of complex infrastructure projects for a Train Operation company, from planning through to completion.
- Ensure effective coordination between multiple stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Develop and manage project plans, including defining scope, setting timelines, and establishing key milestones.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure projects remain on track.
- Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all delivery complies with UK rail industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental considerations.
- Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Identify risks and issues early, providing mitigation strategies and ensuring that resolutions are implemented in a timely manner.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, budget status, and any potential concerns or deviations from the plan.
- Oversee the commissioning and handover processes, ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations and are fully operational.
- Experience working client side within the rail sector
- Knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts
- Obtained or working towards EngTech, IEng, CEng or Equivalent.
- A PRINCE2 Practitioner/ APM PMQ qualification or equivalent.
- A postgraduate University degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Business or significant operational experience.
