People Group are looking to recruit a Infrastructure Delivery Lead from a Client Side background to work for a Train Operating Company.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the delivery of complex infrastructure projects for a Train Operation company, from planning through to completion.
  • Ensure effective coordination between multiple stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including defining scope, setting timelines, and establishing key milestones.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all delivery complies with UK rail industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental considerations.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify risks and issues early, providing mitigation strategies and ensuring that resolutions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, budget status, and any potential concerns or deviations from the plan.
  • Oversee the commissioning and handover processes, ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations and are fully operational.
Essentials and Desirables:
  • Experience working client side within the rail sector
  • Knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts
  • Obtained or working towards EngTech, IEng, CEng or Equivalent.
  • A PRINCE2 Practitioner/ APM PMQ qualification or equivalent.
  • A postgraduate University degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Business or significant operational experience.
