Logistics Coordinator

Working Hours: Mon - Fri - Start time 7:30am (40 hrs per week)
Contract Length: 12 months
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Logistics Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our compound, including supervision and management of compound operatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking deliveries and material movements, ensuring smooth logistical operations, and maintaining accurate records and reporting. You will play a key role in supporting site administration, undertaking audits, and ensuring compliance with plant inspection protocols.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervision & Management: Supervise and manage compound operatives to ensure efficient and effective work activities within the compound area.

Track Deliveries & Material Movement: Monitor and track deliveries and movements of materials and equipment to ensure timely and accurate transportation to designated work areas.

Admin Support: Ensure that site admins are receiving costing information in a timely and accurate manner to facilitate smooth financial operations.

Audits & Inspections: Undertake regular audits around the compound and manage plant inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Communication & Reporting: Regularly report on logistics performance, including any potential issues or delays, and collaborate with other departments to ensure site requirements are met.

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all activities on-site are carried out in line with Health & Safety regulations and that safety standards are upheld at all times.
Required Qualifications:
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) Card
- SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme)
- First Aid at Work Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- SEATS (Safety, Environmental & Technical Awareness) Certificate
Key Skills:
- Computer Literate: Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other related software.
- Organisational Skills: Strong administrative skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and drive.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to track deliveries, materials, and plant inspections accurately and efficiently.
- Problem Solving: Proactive in identifying potential issues and finding timely solutions.
