The Role:

We are looking for experienced Liability Desktop Adjusters to join our team, managing Third Party Property Damage claims on a cradle to grave basis. Our Desktop Adjusters are responsible for investigating and handling a variety of public and products liability claims for prestigious clients, and while much of the role is remote, there may be opportunities for site visits when necessary. You will have access to support from in-house surveyors and field adjusters when required.

Your duties will include assessing liability, handling claims through to settlement, and providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. As part of one of the largest teams of liability experts in the world, you will be integral to supporting and resolving property, general, auto, product, and professional liability claims.

You will have the following skills:

  • Experience in handling Employers Liability, Public Liability, and Property Damage claims
  • Knowledge of JCT contracts, Party Wall Act, and Motor Trade claims (advantageous)
  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills
  • A good understanding of insurance law, policy wording interpretation, and civil liability
  • Strong investigative skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with corporate clients, small businesses, insurers, and brokers
  • Excellent influencing skills and the ability to gain agreement to proposals and plans
  • Good listening skills, empathy, and the ability to respond effectively to others
  • A proactive approach to providing prompt, efficient, and personalized service
