Maintenance Engineer

4on/4off Days and Nights 

My client have been successfully manufacturing for years in Birmingham and manufacturer specialist metals including Ingot, slab, coil, bar, sheet and more. They supply mainly into the Aerospace industry amongst other industrial sectors. The types of machines you will be working on a day to day basis will be large industrial machines such as die-presses, vacuum/arc furnaces, plasma welders, machine shop including lathes/millers/turners as well as other machinery associated with the heavy industry. For this role you will need to be electrically biased. Please only apply if you can read electrical drawings, fault find with panels and can fault find on PLC’s – Allen Bradley or Siemens as the maintenance engineer. 

They are also recruiting for an operator/maintainer to work on a specialist RUMEX Press which is a mix between operating and maintaining paying £54,500

Experience required for the maintenance engineer:

  • 5 years experience as a true electrically biased maintenance engineer from manufacturing
  • Ideally level 3 and apprenticeship served as an electrical maintenance engineer but would also look at level 2 if experience is within a similar environment
  • MUST be able to comfortably read electrical drawings, fault find within panels and have experience fault finding with PLC’s – mainly Allen Bradley on site but would consider Siemens experience
