Maintenance Engineer
Location – Birmingham
Salary - £51K plus including shift premium + pension, excellent overtime
OTE 60K plus
Training available – On Various OEM Equipment and qualifications available
Shifts Available – 4 on 4 off Continentals, Days and Nights role
The Company
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our client. They are a large Global business based in Birmingham who have been established for over 50 years. Our client supplies a specialist product to some of the largest Civils companies, building companies and governments.
This well-known and large global manufacturing group have recently acquired several large contracts. This is an excellent time to join a large manufacturing group with strong backing from large American manufacturing group.

Overview Maintenance Engineer Role
You will be working in a heavy industry environment working on foundry equipment, furnaces, large conveyors, presses, overhead Cranes and many more.
Carrying out reactive maintenance on production equipment and machines across all the production facilities. The role will be 70% reactive and 30% PPM driven. You will be encouraged to have a direct input into the continuous improvement culture and have individual project ownership as you grow your career within the company.
Mechanical duties
- Working on Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Replacing components like for like on large heavy industrial equipment.
- Fault finding mechanically on all factory equipment.
- Reading equipment drawing
- Following weekly and monthly PPM plans when required.
You will be working in a heavy industry environment..
The Candidate
The Maintenance engineer formally qualified in mechanical maintenance
Experience working in a heavy industry will be preferred but not essential.
The Benefits
Salary - £51,000 OTE 60K plus
