What youll be doing:
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, youll play a key role in maintaining and improving essential equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
- Front-line maintenance: Performing reactive repairs and preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability.
- Electrical fault finding: Using your experience with PLC systems and ability to interpret circuit drawings to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Working with a range of equipment: From large-scale machinery to site services, ensuring optimal performance.
- Collaborating with production teams: Coordinating plant downtime, handovers, and process improvements.
- Driving safety and quality: Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
What were looking for:
- Time-served apprenticeshipin Electrical Engineering.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)in an engineering field.
- Experience in heavy engineering or manufacturing(ideally within metals or similar industries).
- Strong fault-finding skillswith the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Understanding of PLCs(basic fault-finding level).
- Wiring Regulations(17th or 18th Edition preferred).
- A positive,problem-solving mindsetand ability to work under pressure.
