Comton Group are pleased to be recruiting for an Intermediate Level Maintenance Technician to work out of a International manufacturing company for the automotive sector based in Tyseley

Hours: 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm rotating days shifts or Nights

Salary:up to 40,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with a proven record of Maintenance in an industrial environment, seeking to build on their current experience and grow within a thriving company. You will be predominantly providing breakdown support, carry out improvements and offer preventative maintenance on equipment within the workshop; based within the Press division

You will be responsible for:

  • Supervising others on breakdown activities
  • Fault finding
  • Liaise and supporting staff within the engineering department
  • Complete required paperwork, i.e., Job & Planned Maintenance sheets
  • Defining key problematic and costly areas
  • Root Cause Analysis to successfully implement Permanent Corrective Actions
  • Upkeep of machinery and daily checks to ensure they are safe to use

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate problem solving and cost saving mentality
  • Be PUWER, Ladder & MEWP trained (beneficial)
  • Have previous experience carrying out maintenance on manufacturing machinery such as guillotines, Presses & Robotics; mechanical & electrical
  • Hold a City & Guilds qualification or equivalent (Beneficial)
  • Demonstratable continuous improvement mentality in line with tooling, equipment, and processes.
