Sonic Summary

The Mechanical Maintenance position involves working on a continental shift schedule, with 12-hour shifts including a half-hour lunch, and requires a commitment of 4 days on and 4 days off, alternating between days and nights.
Candidates must possess a C+G part 3 or ONC/IHNC qualification and have completed a time-served apprenticeship, with a salary that reflects experience.
The role requires good competency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as experience with motors and drives, including gear motors and overhead cranes.
Previous foundry experience and training in forklift operation and access equipment are preferred, along with the ability to use various machining tools such as lathes and milling machines.
Duties include conducting inspections, responding to breakdowns, maintaining stock levels, and assisting in training apprentices, with a pension contribution of up to 8% and quarterly bonuses available.

Requirements

C+G part 3 or ONCIHNC

Time served (apprenticeship)

Good competency with hydraulic & pneumatic drawings / fault finding

Experience with motors & drives - Gear motors, reduction gearboxes, overhead cranes etc...

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

Duties-

Daily/Weekly/Monthly - inspections and maintenance

Respond to breakdowns

Report parts used from stock to maintain stores stock levels

Assist in the analysis of breakdowns, suggest and implement corrective actions

Modifications to plant

Installation of equipment

Assist in training apprentices
