Sonic Summary

The Mechanical Maintenance position requires candidates to work Continental Shifts, specifically 12-hour shifts with a half-hour lunch break, on a 4 on 4 off schedule for both days and nights.
Candidates must possess a C+G part 3 or ONC/HNC qualification and have completed a time-served apprenticeship, along with good competency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
The role offers a salary of £40,000 per year and includes a pension contribution of up to 8% and a quarterly bonus.
Experience with motors and drives, as well as the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, is essential, along with previous foundry experience and forklift truck access equipment training.
Duties include conducting inspections, responding to breakdowns, reporting parts usage, assisting in breakdown analysis, and training apprentices.

Requirements

C+G part 3 or ONCIHNC

Time served (apprenticeship)

Good competency with hydraulic & pneumatic drawings / fault finding

Experience with motors & drives - Gear motors, reduction gearboxes, overhead cranes etc...

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

Duties-

Daily/Weekly/Monthly - inspections and maintenance

Respond to breakdowns

Report parts used from stock to maintain stores stock levels

Assist in the analysis of breakdowns, suggest and implement corrective actions

Modifications to plant

Installation of equipment

Assist in training apprentices
