Sonic Summary

The Mechanical Maintenance position involves working on a continental shift schedule of 12-hour shifts, with 4 days on and 4 days off, including both day and night shifts.
Candidates are required to have a C+G part 3 or ONC/IHNC qualification, along with time-served apprenticeship experience and good competency with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
The role offers a salary commensurate with experience, along with a pension contribution of up to 8% and quarterly bonuses.
Previous foundry experience, forklift truck operation, and the ability to use machinery such as lathes and milling machines are preferred qualifications.
Duties include conducting inspections, responding to breakdowns, maintaining stock levels, and assisting in the training of apprentices.

Reporting to the departmental engineer

Requirements

C+G part 3 or ONCIHNC

Time served (apprenticeship)

Good competency with hydraulic & pneumatic drawings / fault finding

Experience with motors & drives - Gear motors, reduction gearboxes, overhead cranes etc...

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

Duties-

Daily/Weekly/Monthly - inspections and maintenance

Respond to breakdowns

Report parts used from stock to maintain stores stock levels

Assist in the analysis of breakdowns, suggest and implement corrective actions

Modifications to plant

Installation of equipment

Assist in training apprentices
