Finance & Administrative Assistant

£24,000 - £26,000

Our client, a leading finance organisation, is seeking a Finance & Administrative Assistant to join their team in Erdington, Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team and contribute to the smooth running of the finance and administration functions.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Being the friendly face of the organisation, greeting visitors and answering telephone calls.
  • Providing support across various finance and administrative tasks.
  • Maintaining accurate records of invoices and stock levels.
  • Updating mailing lists and ensuring all data is up-to-date.
  • Assisting with sales and purchase ledger duties, if required.
  • Participating in the preparation of monthly stock sheets and assisting with stock take.
  • Compiling and preparing year-end documentation for audit.
  • Supporting new projects and practises as needed.
  • And any other duties deemed necessary to assist other departments.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • Previous admin experience is essential.
  • Strong customer-facing skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Opera or SAP is advantageous but not essential.
