Position Overview:
As part of our strategic expansion into the UK market, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to serve as the technical expert for Voltalis' operations in the UK. This role focuses on providing technical expertise, training, and support for the deployment of our energy flexibility solutions. The Engineering Manager will be the go-to person for technical issues, installer training, and site surveys, ensuring that our solutions are implemented effectively and meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Expertise:
    • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Voltalis equipment and technology, providing guidance and support for technical issues.
    • Develop a deep understanding of our products and services to offer expert advice and solutions.
  2. Training and Support:
    • Train and certify installation teams and partners, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deploy Voltalis systems correctly and safely.
    • Provide ongoing technical support to installers and customers, addressing any challenges that arise during or after installation.
  3. Site Surveys and Assessments:
    • Conduct site surveys and assessments for business customers, evaluating the feasibility and optimal setup for Voltalis solutions.
    • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific energy needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Ensure all installations meet Voltalis' technical standards and comply with relevant UK regulations and industry standards.
    • Implement quality control measures and conduct post-installation inspections to guarantee the integrity and performance of the installed systems.
  1. Technical Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed technical documentation and records of installations, training sessions, and support activities.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on technical issues, training progress, and other relevant metrics.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a technical role within the energy sector, with a focus on electrical systems and installation processes. Experience with smart grid technologies or energy management systems is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong technical knowledge in electrical systems, energy management, and flexibility solutions.
    • Experience in maintaining and operating BMS and BEMS systems.
    • Excellent training and communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information clearly.
    • Hands-on experience with site assessments and installation processes.
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
