OUR CLIENT

Is a leading manufacturing company with a manufacturing facility in the Coleshill area of Birmingham. The factory would be best described as a highly automated heavy industrial process. The business has a range of market leading products and ambitious growth plans with a desire to become more world class.

THE ROLE

You will manage a mixture of Shift based maintenance technicians and days based support staff. The team is knowledgeable and positive in its approach but now needs guidance and development to become more world class. This is particularly true in raising the reliability of the equipment through focusing on increasing the effectiveness of preventative maintenance and reliability based maintenance practices. The barometer of your success will be these types of indicators and the continued progress towards a reliable manufacturing operation.

THE PERSON

You will be an Engineering Manager (Maintenance) from a manufacturing company. You will have sufficient experience to manage different personalities contained within a maintenance team. Other key strengths will be an understanding of maintenance best practice covering the areas mentioned above and a strength of character that can inject energy and enthusiasm into maintenance team. In addition, you must be vigilant and expect high standards and ensure your constant follow up starts changing the culture towards reliability.
