Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Interim Project Lead to oversee the New Product Development (NPD) process to retail launch. The role will involve managing product launches, artwork development, product testing, and sample coordination, ensuring all elements are in place for a successful market release. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills and have a strong track record of delivering successful products to market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Product Development (NPD): Oversee and manage the NPD pipeline, ensuring timely development of innovative products that align with the brand's strategy.
  • Product Launching: Lead the entire product launch process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth market introduction.
  • Artwork Process: Manage the artwork approval process, ensuring packaging complies with brand guidelines and meets regulatory requirements.
  • Product Testing and Samples: Coordinate product testing and the distribution of samples, ensuring all products meet high-quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Retail Launch: Work closely with the retail team to plan and execute product launches, ensuring materials and products are market-ready.
  • Consumer Research: Conduct consumer research and apply insights to guide product development and ensure market competitiveness.
  • Highly Organised Execution: Oversee timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure all project deliverables are achieved efficiently.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management with a focus on NPD and product launches.
  • Strong understanding of the artwork process, including packaging design and regulatory considerations.
  • Experience in product testing and sample management.
  • Familiarity with retail launch processes and bringing consumer products to market.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience conducting consumer research to drive product development.
  • Ability to work 2 days per week in Birmingham, with flexibility for remote working.
