Calling all Marketing Assistants!

Are you an experienced Marketing Assistant with experience in digital marketing? Do you have a creative flair and enjoy being innovative? Would you like to work for one of the top legal firms in the Midlands? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

A leading legal firm based on Hagley Rd, Birmingham, is currently looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to join their fun and friendly sales and marketing team.

Benefits:

  • Salary up to £32,000
  • Location: Birmingham
  • Hours of work 9am to 17.15pm
  • 36.5 hours per week
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Hybrid working available 3 days office based

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the organisation with marketing events (from networking events to large conferences), assist with the setup and occasionally attend the event.
  • Monitor and support membership opportunities from professional associations and networks.
  • Develop marketing material (handouts, presentations, etc) and keep these up to date.
  • Liaise with external suppliers, ranging from web and design agencies to branded merchandise suppliers.
  • Manage social media accounts to maximise engagement, creating and scheduling social media posts (copy and design assets), monitor referral sites, checking that information is up to date and submit amends where necessary.
  • Support other digital marketing activity as required.
  • Design and send email marketing campaigns and maintain mailing lists.
  • Help maintain and update the firm's website.
  • Produce monthly marketing reports and statistics as required such as website and social media analytics.
  • Work closely with other internal departments to complete marketing projects.
  • Other administrative responsibilities as required.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • A solid education background, ideally with a relevant marketing qualification. Degree level or equivalent.
  • Good level of commercial knowledge.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role is required, B2B ideally.
  • Previous experience within the legal sector is beneficial but not essential.
  • A proven full mix of marketing tools, including digital skills, some knowledge of PPC and SEO experience would be desirable.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Good working knowledge of design software, e.g. Canva. Adobe design knowledge would be desirable. Emarketing software (e.g. Concep, MailChimp), social media scheduling tools (Hootesuite, Buffer, Sprout, etc) and CMS systems, e.g. Wordpress.
  • Good technical skills to navigate the various IT systems and an ability to review and interpret data.
  • Experience of contributing content to a company intranet would be desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English. A high GCSE grade in English Language is required.
