Associate Highways Design Engineer 

Birmingham 

£65,000 to £72,000 DOE + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Annual Bonus + Profit Share Bonus + Healthcare Cash Plan 

Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:30 

Associate Highways Design Engineer required for a market leading consultancy who specialise in Transport Planning and Highways Design. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable company who work on a diverse range of projects in both the private and public sectors. This company are truly committed to staff development, and you will truly play an integral role within the team. 

Candidates will need experience within a similar role and will hold experience in a range of highway design environments. 

The successful candidate will be joining an existing team of 25 during an exciting period of growth as they open their third office in Birmingham. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design process for a range of projects to ensure timely delivery and ensure high-quality designs meet client and budget requirements. 

The role will initially be a standalone position, supported by the other two offices, however the opportunity offers progression into a leadership role as the team grows. 


The Associate Highways Design Engineer Role: 

· Ensure designs are delivered to requirements and within budget
· Allocate resources and prioritise tasks
· Preparation of project budgets
· Act as a key point of contact for clients and other partners throughout project lifecycle
· Managing and mentoring junior team members
 
Associate Highways Design Engineer Candidate: 

· Proven experience delivering projects within budgets and timeframes
· Knowledge of both highways and drainage
· Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microdrainage
· Experience managing contract documents
· Knowledge of section agreements including S278, S38, S104 and S106.
