- Troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical issues to maintain all equipment reliability.
- Overseeing preventative and corrective maintenance activities to minimise down time.
- Improve plant equipment to a required standard with a view of increasing sustainability and reliability.
- Managing the mechanical engineering budget, spare parts inventory and identify cost saving opportunities.
- Maintaining accurate records of equipment condition and the performance of spares and repairs.
- Responsible for onsite contractors.
- Main Mechanical contact for onsite projects.
- Minimum 10 Years of medium to heavy, industrial mechanical experience preferred.
- Expertise in Fluid power systems, HP/LP Hydraulics and Pneumatics to Fault- find and troubleshoot on plant equipment.
- Must have experience in Fabrication and Machine shop activities.
- Must be time served, holding qualifications in Mechanical Engineering. (City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ Level 3)
- HND Minimum, bachelor's degree desired.
- Ability to read and create Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic schematic drawings.
- CAD experience.
- Foundry experience desirable.
