The company is known for its strong emphasis on quality and innovation in design and construction. Your new roleAs a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and producing working design drawings for handover to contracts for delivery. You will maintain a close working relationship with the contracts team from start to finish and collaborate with the design team from inception to completion. Your role will involve maintaining and updating all design-related information, issues, and coordination with the project team. You will also attend design meetings with clients and use design software such as AutoCAD LT, Bentley Hevacomp, CIBSE, and BSRIA. What you'll need to succeedStrong understanding of client specifications and the ability to provide appropriate advice.Experience in establishing customer needs, considering cost and environmental value engineering.Knowledge of current and forthcoming industry legislation and standards.Ability to produce detailed design specifications, technical submittals, design development drawings/sketches, BWC information, construction drawings, and as-fitted drawings.Clear understanding of how designed systems will operate.Effective communication skills for attending design meetings with clients.Proficiency in design software/guides such as AutoCAD LT, Bentley Hevacomp, CIBSE, BSRIA, etc.Ability to prioritise matters, follow up on issues, and successfully negotiate with suppliers, sub-contractors, and clients.Experience in conducting site surveys and delivering design information and drawings within agreed timescales.Team player with the ability to actively contribute to meetings and raise concerns at their onset.What you'll get in return
- Competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £60,000, with potential for a car or allowance depending on level.
- 23 days of annual leave, increasing with length of service.
