The Company

My client is a leading supplier of engineering products, including software and hardware, and services used by engineering professionals worldwide to help them capture, analyse and present spatial information.

The Monitoring Engineer Role

They have an excellent opportunity to join their monitoring team in the UK, working in an established and experienced team, you will be responsible for the managing and review and implementation of Instrumentation and Monitoring systems. The role will include liaising and Account Management with clients such as Survey Companies, Designers and Tier One Civil and Construction Contractors to ensure monitoring works are implemented as appropriate and sufficient for the requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Self-driven to undertake personal training and self-development on the monitoring portfolio and wider portfolio where necessary.

Management responsibility for developing knowledge and skills of the existing monitoring specialist team.

Building relationship with customers by offering solution advice, office / site visits and training.

Promotion, sale and hire of all monitoring solution products through a consultancy sales process

Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure monitoring projects are delivered

All duties described may be adapted and are not limited to the above, to meet the needs of a changing organisation.

The Successful Monitoring Engineer:

Working knowledge of Instrumentation and Monitoring

A good working knowledge of relevant safety legislation and how it is applied

Computer literate, able to use/learn various pieces of software from MS office suite to bespoke software and platforms

Knowledge of structures and geotechnical

Educated to degree or higher level in a surveying, engineering, mining or construction discipline.

To have good knowledge of monitoring software for the following monitoring techniques, Environmental, Geotechnical or Geodetic.
