Job Title: Refrigeration Engineer (Birmingham) - Field Based

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: 43,000 + 200 out of hours payment + Overtime
About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer to join our team. This field-based role involves working across multiple sites within the supermarket retail sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform reactive service and fault-finding repairs on supermarket equipment, including packs and display units.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with plant and equipment.
- Participate in the standby/shift rota (core working hours: 42.5 hours per week).
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) as required.
- Achieve agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Update and complete system entries and paperwork promptly.
Requirements:
- Qualified refrigeration engineer with a C&G 2079 certificate (F Gas).
- Experience with CO2 and hydrocarbons (desirable).
- SPA Card.
- Previous experience in a retail refrigeration environment.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication skills.
