Due to continued growth Next Generation are recruiting for a Tool Maker to work with a well-established Tier one company based near Sparkbrook. As the Tool Maker you will be responsible for providing planned maintenance on press tooling.

Shift pattern for the Toolmaker:

Monday - Thursday (22:00 pm 06:00 am)

Friday (17:00pm 10:30pm)

Duties of the Toolmaker:

Reading engineering drawings to be able to confidently and competently manufacture press tooling components

To conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet the specifications; make adjustments as necessary.

Set up and operate conventional and CNC machines

Be able to measure finished parts to specifications, using measuring instruments such as callipers, gauge blocks, micrometres, and dial indicators.

Repair and maintain press tools, die repairs

Attend breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve at the press with

minimal downtime to aid production

Undertake special projects as required

Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained

Prepared to work a reasonable amount of overtime as and when required to meet business needs.

Any other duties as reasonably required by the company

The successful candidate for the Toolmakers position will have the following experience:

Apprentice trained (Desirable)

3 5 years experience as a Toolmaker (Essential)

Overhead crane license however training will be provided (Desirable)

Basic understanding of drawings (Essential)
