The Avionic Technician is an in-depth role which is both challenging and rewarding.

Responsibilities for the Avionic Technician

  • Full removal and strip of equipment
  • Installation of complex wiring hardness
  • Modifications to existing wiring within Avionic shelves and panels
  • Wiring terminations and testing
  • Loom manufacture and testing
  • Systems testing

Essential skills, knowledge and experience required for the Avionic Technician

  • Minimum of 8 years aircraft experience
  • Previous aircraft production experience
  • Previous modification experience
  • Completed an engineering apprenticeship in Aeronautical engineering or a military equivalent
  • Military aircraft experience
  • Good knowledge of aircraft structures
  • Subject to UK Security Vetting
  • Eligible to work and live in the UK

Training requirements:

  • Initial Human Factors; Continuation Training Human Factors
  • Initial SFAR phase 1&2; Continuation Training SFAR phase 1&2
  • Initial EWIS group 4; Continuation Training EWIS group 4
  • ETOPS
  • RVSM
