We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at a bustling used car dealership. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for automotive work and possesses a strong ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of used vehicles.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and expertise.
  • Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, and other key components.
  • Ensure all vehicles are in excellent condition and meet safety standards before being listed for sale.
  • Communicate effectively with the sales team and management about vehicle statuses and necessary repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanic in a professional setting.
  • Strong understanding of automotive technology and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence.
