Ward Based Clinical Administrator

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £23,295 - £26,000 depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Your role with us

You will be based on the hospital site, and your role will focus on supporting the day-to-day activity of the Wards, the Ward Managers and Responsible Clinicians. By keeping the administration processes running smoothly, you’ll be helping our nursing and clinical teams to focus on providing great care. It will be important to build good working relationships while ensuring there is effective communication across the ward.

It’s a varied and demanding job, and you will be comfortable working in a busy ward setting. Duties include managing diaries and supporting ward meetings, ward rounds, clinical governance meetings, including minute taking. You will also take care of tasks like document creation, data input, record management and a range of general administration.

Your profile

  • You will be a confident communicator and a proactive member of our administration team, willing to provide cross cover to other team members when needed.
  • You will have significant administration experience and be proficient in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Strong all round administration and organisational skills are essential.
  • You will have a proven ability to produce high quality, professional documents, with intermediate/ advanced keyboard skills.
  • You will have previous experience in, and be confident with taking and transcribing minutes of meetings, audio typing and be able to work collaboratively or on your own initiative with a strong customer focus.
  • You will have a flexible working style, with the ability to working effectively in a team and independently.
