Responsibilities
- Operate polishing machines and hand tools to achieve desired finishes on metal components.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet specifications.
- Perform grinding and sanding tasks as needed to prepare surfaces for polishing.
- Fabricate and assemble parts using sheet metal as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance product quality.
Skills
- Proficient in using hand tools and polishing equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Experience with tooling, fabrication, and assembly processes is advantageous.
- Competent in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to work tasks.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus, though not essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
