A leading manufacturer of building products in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter.
The role offers an annual salary of £55,000 and involves working Panama Shifts, including nights and days.
Key responsibilities include maintaining mechanical plant and equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with breakdowns.
Candidates should have experience in industrial installations, fault finding in automated machinery, and knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
A City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent, along with effective communication skills and a good understanding of health and safety, is required.

Are you an experienced Maintenance Fitter, who is looking for a new financially rewarding career in the Heart of Birmingham with a leading manufacturer of building products used extensively within the construction sector?If yes, we want to hear you?Annual Salary: £55,000 Weekly Shifts: Panama Shifts - Nights and DaysYour duties would include but not limited to the following;

Maintain the site mechanical plant and equipment to ensure the efficient and safe working of the plant.
Carry out preventative maintenance and installation of new equipment as required.
To attend break downs and assist the Electrician with his shift duties.
To respond to and act upon the fault report system.
To work closely with shift colleagues, charge hands, operators, maintenance charge hand, shift managers, production manager, and works manager to achieve the sites targets and objectives

Experience Required:

Industrial installations and control systems.
The ability to fault find and test automated machinery.
Knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
Welding and Cutting experience would be advantageous.
Effective communication skills.
A good understanding of health and safety is essential.

Qualifications/Education;

City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship
