We have a new project coming up with Birmingham City Council's Thriving Children and Families Division under the Attendance and Inclusion Service.
They are looking for a Managed Move and Alternative Provision Manager to carry out a long-term cover. The role is for a minimum of 3 months and is Grade 5 (up to 29.31 per hour). The role involves the following:

  • To manage, co-ordinate and quality assure the support provided by the team to children in receipt of, or requiring an offsite direction, managed move, or provision under section 19 of the 1996 Education Act
  • To ensure the delivery of effective partnership, working with all key internal and external stakeholders, building and maintaining a strong collaborative approach to the local authority support for inclusion
  • To provide supervision and line management responsibilities in relation to staff as allocated
  • To lead and develop a team to ensure efficient, effective, and responsive professional support and challenge in relation to children in receipt of, or requiring an offsite direction, managed move, or provision under section 19 of the 1996 Education Act
  • To be responsible for the allocation of Managed Move Coordinators, and to ensure that regular team meetings are arranged so that service delivery issues and team concerns are addressed.

Essential requirements for the role: Degree level or equivalent, a minimum of three years' experience working in social care or development and experience of providing:

  • Staff supervision
  • Statistical reporting and manipulating/ collating/ analysing/ presenting data for performance management purposes on software such as Microsoft Excel
  • Working with vulnerable children and families l
  • Multidisciplinary and multi-agency work
