Job Summary:
The Multimodal Freight Forwarder will manage and coordinate the import and export of goods across various transport modes, including air, sea, and road. The role involves ensuring efficient and cost-effective logistics operations while maintaining strong relationships with clients, carriers, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the full cycle of import and export shipments across multiple transport modes (air, sea, road).
- Negotiate rates with carriers and suppliers, ensuring the best possible prices and service levels.
- Handle all necessary documentation for customs clearance, compliance, and shipment tracking.
- Liaise with clients, carriers, and overseas agents to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
- Provide accurate quotations and pricing for shipments.
- Resolve any issues related to shipments, including delays, damages, and customer queries.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international shipping regulations and industry trends.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in multimodal freight forwarding, with a focus on both imports and exports.
- Strong understanding of customs procedures and international shipping regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office.
