Community Psychiatric Nurse – Birmingham (Ongoing Opportunity)

Key Role Details:- Position: Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – CAMHS
- Band: 6
- Location: Birmingham
- Duration: 3 months (with the potential for extension)
- Schedule: Full-time, long days
- Start Date: ASAP
- Pay Rate: £26 per hour
As a community-focused mental health nurse, you'll play a critical role in supporting the well-being and recovery of your patients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Home Visits: Providing regular check-ins with patients to ensure their needs are being met.
- Medication Administration: Delivering medications at prescribed times to support treatment plans.
- Patient Support: Building meaningful conversations with patients to fully understand their mental health needs, while tracking their progress and any changes in their condition.
- Risk Assessments: Conducting thorough evaluations to ensure patient safety and prevent harm to themselves or others, creating a secure environment during their care.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- An active NMC registration as a mental health nurse.
- Proven experience working within the community.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Independence when needed, but also a team player when the situation calls for it.
- A deep commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
