Willo Education are working with a beautiful nursery in the Great Barr area who are on the hunt for a strong, dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join their team on a permanent basis. Could that be you?

About the role:

You will play a crucial role in assisting and guiding the planning and execution of activities tailored to each child's developmental stage and interests. Collaborating closely with management, you will help all team members enhance their roles, particularly in their capacity as key persons. It will be your responsibility to document the progress and learning of your key children, ensuring alignment with the Early Years Foundation Stage, and to share these insights with parents, caregivers, and other significant adults in the child's life. Additionally, you will foster strong partnerships and maintain open communication with parents and caregivers to address the daily care and needs of the children. This approach guarantees that children receive the best possible start in life, nurturing their independence, confidence, self-esteem, and overall resilience and well-being.

You will be a person who truly loves working with children and finds joy in their company. Possessing a creative and imaginative approach will set you apart in the field of childcare, complemented by a warm and nurturing nature. Let’s face it, working with children can be tough at times, so qualities like patience, enthusiasm, and excellent organizational skills are essential.

About the Nursery:

The Nursery caters to children from birth to five years old, offering a variety of age-appropriate resources and activities designed to foster their development until they are prepared to move on to school. Every Wednesday, they host coffee and careers days, emphasizing the importance of continuous professional development for their team. The owner is actively involved, making it a priority to be present and support the staff whenever possible.

To Be considered for this role you must have:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • DBS on the update service (we can apply for a new one if required)
  • Have nursery room leader experience.
  • Have a minimum level 3 in childcare or above.
  • Be able to provide x2 sufficient references.
