Join our dynamic team as a People Business Partner, where you'll drive organisational success and foster a positive workplace culture. You'll collaborate with leadership to develop strategic people plans, ensure legal compliance, coach stakeholders, and lead initiatives in Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Management, and People Development.

As a field-based role, travel across our Store and Leisure estate will be required. This role will be responsible for partnering with our South and Central Stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Regional Management and Heads of Department to assess their people needs and align strategies with business goals, developing robust people plans to support organisational objectives.
  • Drive initiatives related to organisational effectiveness, leading integration activities and supporting line management in implementing effective change.
  • Provide expert guidance on a wide range of People matters, including TUPE, Redundancies and restructures, ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Coach and develop Area Managers, Store Managers, and People Advisors in people processes and procedures, focusing on leadership development, communication and conflict resolution
  • Support leaders in fostering colleague engagement, development, and positive performance conversations
  • Design and lead the talent management process, working alongside managers to identify key talent and create talent development plans to nurture talent internally 
  • Identify critical roles ensuring robust succession plans and progression pathways are in place 
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategy aligned with AGs values and goals, fostering an inclusive approach in all areas
  • Work alongside your counterpart in the (North/South), the People Operations Team, Training and Recruitment to share best practice, align on current projects and effectively deliver against the People Strategy.
  • Design and deliver training sessions to line managers, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to effectively lead their teams.
