We are seeking a Full Time / Part Time Band 7 Highly Specialised Occupational Therapist to work within Childrens and Families Services (City Wide). The candidate must have experience working with Paediatric ASD / ADOS experience.

List of Duties:

  • To provide Occupational Therapy at a highly specialist level, as part of the neurodevelopmental pathway (NDP), functioning in partnership with other agencies and disciplines to support in the holistic assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children and young people known to the service.
  • To work as part of multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams to deliver highly specialist interventions according to the agreed service packages of care and pathways.
  • To develop and maintain effective working relationships with parents / carers and other stakeholders, using highly developed negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • To maintain, develop and promote excellence in clinical practice within the specialist area of the service, with reference to current research and evidence-based practice, contributing to safe effective practice in the specialist clinical area
  • Demonstrate clinical leadership and represent the local team/service area in all appropriate meetings to support the planning and development of quality services across the city

Start date: ASAP for an initial 12-week period. Possibility of extension.

Location: Will be working with clients at bases / children centres, however must have own transport & be prepared to travel to meet service needs.

Hours: Full Time (Mon-Friday, 9am-5pm. Part time or flexible working will be considered)
