Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will support young people with complex needs by managing a small caseload of 6-8 clients, working citywide as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT). This opportunity allows you to play a vital role in enhancing independence and facilitating community reintegration through occupation-focused interventions and specialist skills development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a small clinical caseload of 6-8 young people with complex needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the MDT, CORE CAMHS Teams, and external partner agencies.
  • Develop occupational formulations, occupation-focused interventions, sensory pathways, and strategies.
  • Conduct initial assessments and support the MDT through generic tasks.
  • Participate in the Personality Disorder Unit Panel to guide young people's pathways and transitions.
  • Promote positive risk-taking approaches and enhance protective factors in care plans.
  • Provide expert input on national policies, child/mental health occupational therapy, and CAMHS.
Key Requirements
  • HCPC registration.
  • Extensive post-graduate experience in CAMHS and/or mental health settings.
  • Advanced knowledge of child/mental health occupational therapy policies.
  • Evidence of training in specialist modalities (e.g., Sensory Integration, Sensory Attachment Intervention, AMPS, DBT skills).
  • Driving license and access to a car for citywide travel.
