About the role:

A leading provider of mental health services is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Lead

Occupational Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team. This position offers the chance to provide

professional support and leadership to occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and

activity workers across multiple inpatient settings.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and support to the occupational therapy team across inpatient services.
  • Manage a small clinical caseload, conducting assessments, interventions, and evaluations.
  • Ensure the delivery and regular evaluation of therapeutic programs, including group and individual sessions.
  • Utilise evidence-based assessment tools, such as MOHOST, to measure service-user progress.
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Support service-users in their recovery journey, promoting independence and integration into the community.
  • Balance safety and therapeutic risk-taking while delivering care.
  • Contribute to service development through audits, policy updates, and research initiatives.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working with individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to support multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, recovery-focused interventions.
  • Ability to assess risk and implement effective management strategies.
  • Experience in service development and staff supervision is desirable.

Working hours:

  • Core hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00.
