Are you a loyal, hardworking, and flexible individual with a caring and philanthropic outlook? We are seeking a dedicated Secretary/Administrator to join our team within the charity sector.. This varied and rewarding role is part-time offering approximately 21 hours per week, with the flexibility to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering phones and dealing with queries
  • Monitoring and responding to emails
  • Organising back-office admin for functions (e.g., Business Awards, Charity Balls, Quizzes)
  • Maintaining an up-to-date database of Charity contacts
  • Managing the Grants Process, including application assessments and celebratory award days
  • Organising meetings, including Trustee and fundraising meetings, and ensuring timely distribution of minutes and agenda papers
  • Attending meetings to take minutes
  • Performing other clerical duties as required

Desirable Skills: Social media skills for posting events and good news stories

  • Experience with booking platforms like Ticketmaster and Eventbrite
  • Ability to update the Lord Mayor's Website with key information

Essential Skills:

  • Strong administrative ability
  • Computer savvy
  • Good written composition skills
  • Good communication skills

Handover: A full handover of systems, procedures, and passwords will be provided by the existing incumbent, who will be in post for the next month.
