Reed Talent Solutions are working in partnership with Fujitsu on the search for a 1st Line Impact Engineer to join their team based in Birmingham.
We are looking for someone with a flexible, dynamic, can-do attitude to work in a fast-paced environment within a friendly and collaborative team.
You must have strong attention to detail skills and be comfortable working in a customer facing environment.
No previous network experience is required for this role. This is a great opportunity if you have a desire to work within this sector and you are looking to kick start your career in this industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting impact assessments to support network operations
- Providing support to the 1st line shift team
- Managing PKI certificate renewals
- Performing general 1st line network support activities
Desirable skills:
- Strong understanding of network designs and topologies.
- Experience with PKI certificate renewals.
- CCNA certification.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with both internal and external customers.
- Highly self-motivated and proactive.
- Familiarity with change management processes (advantageous).
- Flexibility to support the 1st Line Networks team as part of a 24/7 shift rotation, if required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of WAN networks (beneficial).
What do you need to know about the role?
- Pay rate - £15 per hour PAYE (paid weekly one week in arrears)
- Location - On-site full time at Fujitsu in Birmingham, B26 3RZ
- Shift pattern - Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00,
- Contract type - temporary via Reed Talent Solutions
- Duration - 12 months
- Recruitment process - Pre-screen with Reed, CV submission to Fujitsu, 30-45 minute Teams interview with Fujitsu
