At The Supply Register we take great pride in working closely with The Create Trust in Birmingham to crate a bank of staff to utilise across the academic year. One of the schools is looking for a Cover supervisor/ HLTA to cover lessons where needed and to lead interventions with children. The role will is full time and the schools needs someone to be able to commit to the full academic year. 

This is a great opportunity for an unqualified teacher or aspiring teacher to gain valuable experience working in a school setting within a close-knit team of staff and make a real difference. 

As you will already appreciate, the role of a cover supervisor can be both challenging and rewarding in equal measure. 

Duties include: 

  • Have some experience teaching in a school environment. 

  • To supervise whole classes during the short term occasional absence of class teacher and deliver pre-prepared activities. 

  • To provide general support to the class teacher(s) in the management and organisation of the students and the classroom. 

  • To organise the days lessons effectively in advance so that they run as smoothly as possible. 

This is an excellent opportunity in education. You will be able to develop your school knowledge and skills, develop communication skills with pupils and staff, enhance your behaviour management skills and a potential career opportunity could be available to you. 

As part of our bank staff you will have the following available to you:
