Zest Education are currently recruiting an Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher (EYFS) to work full-time at a welcoming school based in Rubery. You will be expected to work Monday to Friday on a continuous basis. The ideal candidate should be committed to their role and have a genuine passion for having a positive impact on children’s learning. This role is due to start in November 2024.

This primary school offers all children a stimulating curriculum in order to preserve a welcoming and joyful learning atmosphere. They make sure the school is a secure and engaging place for children to learn, and they encourage them to have excellent attendance. The candidate must be able to deliver interesting and engaging lessons to stay in line with the school’s ethos.

Main responsibilities:

  • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant curriculum for pupils, incorporating the areas of learning for EYFS.
  • To foster a learning environment and educational experience with provides pupils with the opportunity to excel.
  • To facilitate, support and monitor the overall progress and development of EYFS pupils.
  • Co-operate and liaise closely with parents, guardians, and professions within the EYFS and the wider school.
  • Ensure the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside of the school.
  • To be part of a team to plan, prepare and evaluate all aspects of EYFS provision.

You must:

  • Have relevant experience in EYFS or an educational setting.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
  • Have excellent communication skills and active listening skills.
  • A strong knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • The capacity to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Have a genuine desire to help children achieve academically.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
