A leading player in the UK property services sector, renowned for their commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability, is looking for an Fire Door Surveyor to join their Birmingham based fire protection team to cover the Birmingham and West Midlands area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying points for correction on fire door and compartmentation through compliance inspections and structural surveys
  • Recording findings on relevant compliance software and writing final reports
  • Managing appointments
  • Providing technical advice
  • Post work inspections
  • Assisting Contracts and Operations Managers where needed

The successful candidate will have:

  • Good technical knowledge of fire doors and compartmentation/fire stopping (fire doors preferred)
  • Experience working within the social housing sector
  • The ability to liaise and report to clients and tenants where required
  • Experience surveying both fire doors and fire stopping (fire doors preferred)
  • NVQ or equivalent in carpentry or passive fire protection
  • Experience with compliance recording software such as One Trace or Bolster
  • Good IT skills including MS Excel
  • Basic DBS check (or happy to get one if successful)
